Richard Hightower, DC

Dr. Richard Hightower started in chiropractic late in life after fulfilling goals in other occupations. At the age of 50, he decided that he would like to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a chiropractor. So, with his wife, Judy, he enrolled in Sherman College of Chiropractic. In this college he not only learned the “Palmer Technique” but many other techniques as well to be able to treat patients of different needs.  He has practiced in the same location for the past sixteen years and has helped people with headaches/migraines, neck and low back pains, sciatica, and even Menieres Syndrome, to name a few. He strives to not only rid those of pain but to determine what caused the pain and try to eliminate the cause.

His clinic features test and diagnostic equipment to include x-rays. Treatments include traditional chiropractic adjustments along with therapies (when warranted) of Ultrasound, Electric Stimulation, Diathermy, and Intersectional traction.

Just recently, we have added Cold Laser treatments for weight loss.  You can learn more about it in the "links" section.

Decompression therapy is another method we use to aid those who have complying lumbar or cervical disc problems that would be benefited by this non-surgical and non-medical procedure.

He is National Board certified in Chiropractic and licensed to practice in Alabama.

He is certified by The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in Chiropractic and Physiotherapy.

Judy Hightower - Office Coordinator/Manager

Judy has been the backbone (no pun intended) of the clinic since its inception.  Her main roles are to keep the clinic background functions such as insurance documentation and appointment verifications running smoothly while providing physical therapies to the patients.

Patty Tudor, RN, Holy Fire II/usui Reike/master level, Practioner

What is a session like/ It is administered through the hands of a Reiki practitioner with the client lying fully clothed on a massage table. The session usually lasts between 45 - 90 minutes but shorter sessions are possible.

The session feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that surrounds and fills the client to include feelings of relaxation, peace, and well-being that also promote healing.

Reiki energy allows muscles to relax and increases blood flow to treated areas. Clients report help with stress, headaches, insomnia, upset stomach, to name a few. Occasionally, miraculous results are reported such as psychological healing such as anger, fear, and sadness and replaces them with self-worth, confidence, and tranquility.

Reiki is becoming increasingly popular in hospitals with over 800 US hospitals offering Reiki care.
